·   Test circuits and components of telecommunications equipment to isolate sources of malfunctions, using test meters, circuit diagrams, polarity probes, and other hand tools. Installation and testing of residential and commercial cabling, telephone carrier systems, CSUʼs and troubleshooting

·   Test repaired, newly installed, or updated equipment to ensure that it functions properly and conforms to specifications, using test equipment and observation.

·   Demolition and removal of old/abandoned cabling and pulling and routing cable in new construction commercial environment

·   Installation of outlets, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing and labeling cables to industry standards

·   Installation of WAP/AP and implemented in cut-overs

·   Dressing and terminating distribution frames/patch panels

·   Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)

·   AC/DC Circuits- Frequencies, and DOS programming

·   Outside Plant- pole climbing, heavy equipment and lifts, color codes, splicing, and connectors. Pedestal and aerial installation.

·   Optical fiber- Connectorization, Mechanical and fusion splicing, (OTDR), light source and power meter

·   Convergence Technologies- VOIP, multiplexing, PBX key systems, Computer Telephone Integration, Local Area Networks, Broadband, Baseband, Digital Subscriber Lines

·   Commercial Infrastructure Installation, Standards-ANSI/TIA/EIA 570-A, 568-B1, 568-B2, 568-B3, 569-A, 606-A & 607-A and basic knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies and components

·   Low voltage electrical skills and knowledge

·   Inspect equipment on a regular basis in order to ensure proper functioning. Works safe at all times utilizing the necessary personal protection equipment
